Boxing for a Cause is our way of giving back to our local community. Every month, one of our team members chooses a local nonprofit to receive a donation. Jasmine chose Friends of Rescue, Inc. for September!
About Friends of Rescue, Inc.
Friends of Rescue, Inc. (FOR) is a foster-home based, non-breed specific dog and cat rescue. Their mission is to save unwanted animals in the North Alabama area and to empower the individuals in our community to save a life by fostering animals in their home until they are adopted.
Why Jasmine Chose Friends of Rescue, Inc.
Jasmine says, "I have a soft spot for animal rescues because the work involved can be hard and stressful, and it doesn't always receive the recognition it deserves. Friends of Rescue stood out to me because they are a 100% foster-home based rescue meaning that their animals are not kept in a traditional shelter environment. By being placed in a home, the animals are more likely to adapt to that environment better which could result in a better adoption experience for all parties involved. I think it's great that we have an organization in the community that works very hard to find foster homes for unwanted animals in North Alabama."
