Email marketing is a great way to nurture leads that didn't convert into paying customers.
But if you're not doing it right, you could be wasting your time and money.
Here are three simple tips to help you get started on the right path with your email marketing efforts.
1. Use an email marketing platform.
If you are considering sending email marketing messages, an email marketing platform is a must!
There are tons of platforms out. Any of these services will ensure you are compliant with the CAN-SPAM laws. Plus, they have tons of professional and fun email templates for you to choose from and customize when creating your company’s email marketing blasts!
Each email marketing platform has its own pros and cons. So be sure to choose one that meets your growth plans.

2. Make sure to subscribe leads to your email marketing.
Be sure that you opt-in all of the leads from your marketing and advertising efforts by default.
You can do this by including a checkbox (that defaults to being checked) on each form on your website, landing page, advertising lead gen forms, etc.
Also, be sure that you have multiple, explicit locations throughout your website and blog for users to sign up for your email marketing.
And lastly, be sure you use Zapier to integrate all of these leads between your forms and your email marketing system.
Pro tip: Hubspot makes this process the easiest by far!
3. Keep it short, sweet, and useful.
Your readers don't have time to read long emails, so make sure all of the important information is included in a concise format.
And MOST IMPORTANTLY...don't give away the sweet sauce in the email. Set one single goal/action for the email. Then entice the reader to take the action or perform the goal you set out for when you first created the email.
So, only include relevant imagery and short, concise copy that's a real cliffhanger so the reader is ready to take the action you want them to.
Email marketing is one of the most powerful ways to keep in touch with leads and nurture leads until they are ready to buy.
