Cares for a Cause is our way of giving back to our local community. Every month, one of our team members selected a local nonprofit in their community to receive a donation. Since Savannah is from Texas, she chose to give back to the Mujeres Unidas/Women Together Foundation for April's pick.
About Mujeres Unidas/Women Together Foundation
Mujeres Unidas/Women Together is a nonprofit organization in Texas that provides a safe haven to victims of domestic violence. Additionally, they offer services such as counseling, legal advocacy, rape crisis intervention, community education, and a batterer's intervention and prevention program.
They aim to provide shelter and support services to victims of domestic violence and survivors of sexual assault and their families.
Why Savannah Chose Mujeres Unidas/Women Together Foundation
Savannah says, "Mujeres Unidas/Women Together is a foundation in the Rio Grande Valley who actively serve women in the community who have been victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. I believe that uplifting women in any way we can, whether that be through volunteering, donations, or sending love and listening to the women in your life right now, is extremely important. Mujeres Unidas deserves all this and more."
